4to (197 x 135mm.), woodcut of the four symbols of the Evangelists on title-page with separate woodcut borders, woodcut illustrations, without final blank leaf, nineteenth-century boards, a few annotations, some small wormholes, cut close at head, binding slightly rubbed


Herolt's commentary on the Gospels was printed in numerous editions around this time. Herolt, a Dominican who died in 1468, was one of the best selling authors of the first century of printing.
