8vo (149 x 90mm.), text in italics, woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso, initials supplied later in gold, red and blue ink, without original blank leaf DD8, later half red morocco over marbled boards, a few leaves in prelims extended at foredge, small wormholes in first and last few leaves, joints slightly rubbed
First Aldine edition, first issue, with the incorrect reading "duerniorem" in the register and with quire S misimposed.
