Arabic manuscript on paper, 221 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 20 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink within clouds against a gold ground, ruled in black and gold, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in red riqa against a gold ground within cartouches, gold and polychrome verse markers in the margins, f.1b and f.2a with a double page with prayers within gold outlined trees, f.2b and 3a with a double page of illumination, f.3b and f.4a with a gold and polychrome floral border, in lacquer binding decorated with flowers
