This most attractive model was made in 2003 to celebrate Wempe's 125th anniversary. The famous retailer has had a long standing relationship with Lange&Sohne, that started well before the rebirth of the brand in 1994.
The watch was made as a limited edition of 125 pieces, comprising 75 in pink gold and 50 in platinum, such as the present lot. Each watch was individually numbered, this example being 42/50.
The watch has an elegant black dial with contrasting Arabic indexes and rail track. The contrasting subsidiary seconds are placed between 3 and 5, bringing some dynamic to the traditional layout.
The movement, revealed by the sapphire display back, is elegantly decorated with some engraved foliage.
This pieces, rarely appearing on the market, combines rarity and elegance, making it an exciting opportunity for a discerning collector.
