a composing manuscript, scored for three voices, notated in brown ink on four two-stave systems per page, with a few deletions and corrections


2 pages (15.3 x 18.5cm), 8-stave paper, window-mounted on paper, manuscript annotation below the leaf ("D.r Calcott's Autograph"), some later pencil annotations to mount, no place, 19 December 1803, central vertical fold, some creasing to mount


RARE.


Autograph music by the one-time child prodigy, later a popular glee composer and music theorist, John Wall Callcott (1766-1821), is extremely rare at auction.
