159 pages, oblong 4to (c. 23 x 32cm), lithographed title, engraved music, cast list and index of contents, plate number 1136 (lacking on pp. 22, 76 and 148; on p. 154, plate number 1153), nineteenth-century half morocco gilt, gilt initials of owner to upper cover ("B.P."), pp. 5/6 creased at inner margin, a few small tears and stains, thumbing to corners, trimmed by the binder, light wear to covers

The first edition of the vocal score of the third version (1814) of the opera appeared only a year before the present edition. Formerly in the collection of Ernst Rudorff.
