oval, the lid centered with an enamel plaque painted with Venus and Cupid in a chariot above clouds, on a chestnut-colored enamel ground over engine-turning, framed by a border of chased acanthus leaves alternating with rose gold flower heads on opaque white enamel, the sides and base similarly decorated, rubbed maker's mark with the second letter an R between a leaf and a B incuse, post-1918 French eagle's head control marks
