oval, the lid set with an earlier oval enamel portrait miniature of a Prince Bishop, wearing an ermine cape and gauze tabs, probably Clemens Wenzeslaus von Sachsen (1739-1812), within a rose-cut diamond-set frame, on a ground of gold and white laurel surrounded by green enamel, the sides and base further decorated with large roundels of sunflowers on a blue enamel ground over sunburst engine-turning, below a border of engraved gold leaves around green enamel bands, French prestige marks including maker's mark purporting that to be of Charles Le Bastier, charge and discharge marks of Jean-Jacques Prevost (1762-1768), Paris date letter D for 1767, later French charançon import mark for 1838-1864, further numbered: 1538
