the first, circular, the purpurine body set with a silver-mounted micromosaic plaque in the manner of Francesco Depoletti, representing Father Time and the three Fates, with a hand-written paper note reading: 'Snuff Box given by Alexander Emperor of Russia, to Lord Castlereigh', apparently unmarked,

Diameter 3 1/8 in., 8 cm;

the second, circular, the silver box set with a micromosaic plaque of a fox attacking a pheasant, probably after Johann Wenzel Peter, in a silver-gilt frame, apparently unmarked

Diameter 3 1/8 in., 8.1cm.;

the third, rectangular with rose gold mounts, the malachite lid later inset with a micromosaic plaque of the Doves of Pliny, applied thumbpiece, lined in a different hardstone, apparently unmarked

Diameter 3 1/8 in., 7.9 cm.

A gold box set with a micromosaic representing the Three Fates and Father Time, signed by Depoletti, belongs to the Gilbert Collection (Charles Truman, The Gilbert collection of gold boxes, Vol. I, Los Angeles, 1991, cat. no. 125).
