Arabic manuscript on paper, written in ghubar script in black and red ink, the text arranged in cartouches divided by gold floral illumination, Qur'an, surah al-Nur (XXIV), v.35 in large white nasta'liq running down the length of the scroll, a gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece
237.5 by 6.6cm.
A comparable scroll in ghubar also incorporating the Light Verse in larger white nasta’liq is in the Tareq Rajab Museum, Kuwait (Safwat 1997, p.87).
