A miniature inscribed jade amulet with Qur'anic verses, signed by Murtaza 'Abdali, India, 19th century

comprising three jade plaques attached with cord, each facet of the plaques with gilded Qur'anic inscriptions, signed, the first and last facet decorated with floral motifs

5.9 by 2.8cm.

inscriptions:Qur'an, surah al-Ikhlas (CXII), surah al-Falaq (CXIII), surah al-Kafirun (CIX), surah al-Kawthir (CVIII) and surah al-Nas (CXIV).

A similar amulet inscribed with verses was sold in these rooms, 26 October 2022, lot 138.
