24.9 x 34.8 cm. (9 ¾ x 13 ¾ in.)
Painted circa 1940s
Acquired in India by a private British collector. Her husband worked as a doctor in the British Army until the late 1920s when he passed away. She kept up her interest and contacts with India even after returning to England.
Thence by descent
This work will be included in SH RAZA, Catalogue Raisonné, 1939 – 1957 (Early Works) by Anne Macklin on behalf of The Raza Foundation, New Delhi. (Image ref SR3639).
