This American experimental film was directed and produced by Godfrey Reggio. Philip Glass composed the music, with cinematography by Ron Fricke. The film mainly comprises slow motion and time-lapse footage of cities and natural landscapes throughout America. There is no dialogue in this film. The images are contrasted by Glass's minimalist music, which allows us, the viewer, to experience what the film means to us personally. As with the two previous films in the Qatsi trilogy, the relationship between humans, nature and technology collide.
