Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Singles Day' Sample | Size 12W

Released in November 2018 to coincide with the annual Chinese holiday ‘Singles Day’, these women’s Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro Sample sneakers are finished entirely in Fire Red leather. In striking contrast with the red upper is a gum outsole and pops of black on the tongue tag, eyelets and Jumpman heel logo. The most unique feature of this pair is the upper’s red coating, designed to eventually wear away and reveal an ornamental design on the second layer.

Samples are sneakers made by the manufacturer either for promotional purposes or for testing various aspects of a design. They are far rarer than the general release pairs.

The Air Jordan 4 (IV) is one of the most popular models in the Air Jordan lineage. First debuted at the 1989 NBA All-Star Game, and designed by Nike legend Tinker Hatfield, it was the first global release for the Jordan Brand. The silhouette immediately turned heads due to its mid-cut, visible air unit, mesh side panels and iconic “wings” which allowed the wearer 18 different lacing options.
