the ovoid body (of the cup) carved with radiating flutes to the left side of the rim; the gilt and enameled mounts of the lid with an applied enamel filigran hinge (of the lid), decorated with a cherub mask, and a clasp to the other side with the same filigran motif; surmounted by a gilt and enamelled grip
