one page, 204 x 310mm., incomplete (plausibly a draft as it is unsigned), within a nineteenth-century Italian printed collector's folder


Ariosto (1509-1560), illegitimate son of the poet Ludovico, is writing to the duke of Ferrara about the water rate needing to be paid in the districts of San Leonardo and Spedocchia.
