the cylindrical body with two bands of chased and repoussé blossoms in varicoloured gold and platinum between bands of opaque black enamel, these relieving the surface enamelled in ice blue over a wavy engine-turned ground, the pencil separating at the upper band to reveal finely reeded red gold cylinder and a miniature pencil, with suspension loops, struck with workmaster's initials and 72 standard on the red gold cylinder, also struck Faberge in Latin letters, 72 standard on the suspension loops, with scratched inventory number 23748 on the upper rim
