A DIAMOND AND EMERALD-SET ENAMELLED PENDANT WITH PEARL STRING NECKLACE, INDIA, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
gold pendant with kundan-set, foil-backed diamonds and emeralds in a stylised foliate design of crescent-form, reverse polychrome enamelled with peacock, parrots and floral details, with three hooks, later mounted as a necklace with pearl-string strands and cord for fastening
pendant: 5.5 by 4.1cm.
pearl string necklace: 16cm.
Please note that contrary to the printed catalogue, this necklace was set with foiled rock crystal rather than diamond.
