This early Patek Philippe pocket watch is a true masterpiece that embodies both artistry and historical significance. It is a grand complication timepiece, showcasing a remarkable combination of features including a perpetual calendar, a split-seconds chronograph activated by a push button on top of the crown, a minute repeater activated by a slide on the left side case band, and a moon phase display at 12 o'clock on the dial. Even by today's standards, achieving a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, and split-seconds chronograph in a single watch is an exceptional feat, making such pieces exceedingly rare. The watch was made for Shreve, Crump & Low Co., a retailer based in Boston. Their signature is stamped on the cuvette and movement, with their retailer logo stamped onto the case. We are pleased to offer this piece fresh to the market and from the family of the original owner, accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming the date of sale on May 30th, 1904.
