ink and colour on silk, hanging scroll
signed Wen Jia, dated dingmao year of Jiajing reign (1567) and with two seals
141.5 x 40.5 cm, 55¾ by 16 in.
Acquired by Sir James Stewart Lockhart (1858-1937) from a resident of Yuncheng, Shandong, 1911, and thence by descent to his daughter, Mary Stewart Lockhart (1894-1985).
Gifted by the above to George Watson's College, Edinburgh, 1967.
