Attributed to Wang Hui, Landscape

ink and colour on silk, hanging scroll

signed Wang Hui and with two seals

178.5 x 48 cm, 70¼ by 18⅞ in.

Acquired by Sir James Stewart Lockhart (1858-1937) through Tse Tsan-tai (1872-1938), Hong Kong, 1912, and thence by descent to his daughter, Mary Stewart Lockhart (1894-1985).

Gifted by the above to George Watson's College, Edinburgh, 1967.
