4to (205 x 265 mm). 3 parts plus appendix, engraved frontispiece and 121 plates, 5 folding, 17 double-paged; dampstaining and foxing throughout especially to Plate 5, a few leaves extended, some leaves shaved at lower edge with no textual loss, repaired tear to Plates 32 and 48, small tear to lower edge of Plate 8 and outer edge of Plate 32. Diced russia, gilt armorial to covers; rebacked.
