This is steadily becoming one of the most collectible posters from the 80s owing to Graham Humphreys' fabulous artwork.
This American supernatural slasher film was written and directed by Wes Craven and produced by Robert Shaye. The first instalment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, it stars Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakley and Robert Englund as the iconic Freddy Krueger, and features Johnny Depp in his film debut. The story follows a group of teenagers who are stalked in their dreams by Krueger, an undead child murderer seeking revenge on the parents who burned him alive. Craven drew inspiration for the screenplay from a series of news reports about Asian refugees who died during terrifying nightmares.
