A Campanian Red-figured Bell Krater

4th Century B.C. 


painted in front with a seated woman holding a box between a draped youth holding a wreath and an Oscan warrior in full armour, and in back with three draped youths, rosettes in the field on both sides, the details in added white, yellow, and brown wash.

Height 36.5 cm.

probably Loiseau & Schmitz, St Germain en Laye, April 12th, 1986, no. 159R

French private collection, acquired in the 1980s (Artvalorem, Paris, June 21st, 2023, no. 201, illus.)
