A FABERGÉ SILVER-GILT CLOISONNÉ AND PICTORIAL ENAMEL STAMP BOX, MOSCOW, 1908-1917
almost certainly by Feodor Rückert, the raised lid enamelled en plein with Knight at the Crossroads after Viktor Vastentsov, the sides with flying and seated owls against a ground of Pan Slavic ornaments enamelled in earth tones, struck on the base and inside lid with K.Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard

Vasnetsov's iconic large scale painting from 1882, after which the present box was enamelled, is a highlight of the Russian Museum collection in Saint Petersburg.
