A momonari kabuto [peach shaped helmet] and somen [full face mask]
Edo period, 17th century and later
The peach shaped kabuto with central ridge, the turnbacks with mon in gold hiramaki-e and four-tier shikaro, o-doshi blue lacing, leather and linen lining, with associated Tengu somen with three-tiered shikaro all in red lacquer
The bowl to peak: 23 cm, 9 in.
