Carlo Giugliano

The Neapolitan Carlo Giuliano (1831-1895) founded one of the most artistically inspired London jewellery houses of the Victorian era. He came to London in 1860 to establish a presence for Castellani in the British capital. Subsequently he opened his own workshop producing for Hancocks and Robert Phillips amongst others. Eventually Carlo Giuliano opened his own shop on 115 Piccadilly when his son Arthur Alphonse (1864-1914) joined the business. The firm of Giuliano moved to Knightsbridge in 1912, but ceased activity two years later when Arthur Alphonse passed away.

Giuliano worked in a range of historicizing styles ranging from archeological revival to neo-gothic and neo-renaissance.
