In 2017, still a pale colour. A marvellously well-bred, limey nose that puts it into a celestial zone that I am not sure is very prevalent in all white Burgundy ‘de nos jours’. This is where it was ‘at’ in the Eighties - and it was also a great decade for Corton Charlemagne from this estate. On the palate, powerful, assertive and an absolute beauty, balancing fruit with structure in a totally assured way - to our immense benefit. What a wine. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
