The town mark is most probably that of Munich although the Munich monk which features as the city hallmark is here struck with stars which is unrecorded. The monk as struck in the mark on the pointer has pendant sleeves, which according to Marc Rosenberg (Der Goldschmiede Merkzeichen) appear from the 16th century but not after 1754.
