In 2018 at the château, full, rich and fruity, with less definition and nobility than the 1996, but cedary soft and mouth-coating. A fabulous comparison, if you can get it.

This collection spans the 1980s to 2010 and is in truly excellent condition, testament to the quality of the meticulously maintained underground climate-controlled storage. All bought from Sotheby's Wine Department in London, it includes such gems as Lafite 1998 in Imperial, a case of Haut Brion 2000 in bottle and a multi-format Superlot of Pichon Baron 2010.
