Conceived in 1887; this example cast in 1970. The present work is from an edition of 7 cast by the Georges Rudier Foundry, Paris in addition to at least 19 known examples.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2018-5659B.
