L'un des Bourgeois de Calais: Pierre de Wiessant, vêtu, réduction
inscribed A. Rodin and with the foundry mark Alexis Rudier. Fondeur. Paris. (on the base); stamped A. Rodin (on the interior)

height: 44.5 cm. 17½ in.
Conceived between 1887 and 1895; this version was conceived in 1895. The present work cast by the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris in April 1949 in addition to at least 50 known examples by various foundries.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2025-7325B.
