height: 33.2 cm. 13⅛ in.

Conceived in 1881-82; this example cast in June 1882. The present work is from an edition of 3 cast by the Gruet Jeune Foundry, Paris in addition to at least 13 known examples.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2015-4618B.
