Acquired by Lieutenant General Sir Otto Marling Lund (1891–1956) and Margaret Phyllis Frances Lund (d. 1969), London;
Thence by descent to the present owner.
This painting is typical of Barend van der Meer's later artistic output from c. 1692 onwards, and compares stylistically to a signed example offered in 1978.1
