This composition relates closely to the same view by Giovanni Antonio Canal, called Canaletto (1697–1768), the prime version of which is at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire.1
We are grateful to Charles Beddington for proposing an attribution to an English follower of Canaletto, circa 1830, on the basis of digital images.
