Some satoshis are black uncommons, meaning they are the last satoshi in the block in which they were mined. Some satoshis are part of the ones that were seized from Silk Road and auctioned by the government in the first Silk Road Bitcoins auction. 

These categories are quite rare by themselves considering the total satoshi supply of 21 quadrillion. Once in a while, there are some satoshis that have both these properties, and those are very scarce.
