Inspired by the Nautilus collection that was designed by the legendary watchmaker Gerald Genta in 1976, the Aquanaut was a more recent development by Patek Philippe in wish to capture a younger market segment. With strong features like the central raised engine-turned motif on the dial, the port hole inspired case and it’s chocolate bar like rubber strap which is tested to be impervious against saltwater, UV deterioration and bacteria, the Aquanaut is an ideal choice for users with an active life-style.

The present watch reference 5164 is crowned as the first complicated Aquanaut ever released by the firm. It features an upgraded mechanism with two pushers on the case allowing the user to easily adjust the second time zone. Opening the doors for the possibility of complicated Aquanauts which led examples such as the advanced research and chronograph models, the reference 5164 will be a significant model in the development of Aquanaut in years to come.
