White stoneware cups with ring-shaped handles are following Tang silver shapes. A very similar cup in the Palace Museum, Beijing, attributed to the Gongyi kilns of Henan, one of the major Tang ceramic manufacturing centres, is illustrated in Zhongguo gu ciyao daxi.
