A SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF MARPA, TIBET, 17TH CENTURY | 十七世紀 藏傳鎏金銅瑪爾巴譯師小坐像

Marpa (1012-97), commonly known as Marpa the Translator, was a Kagyupa lama responsible for the transmission of many Vajrayana teachings from India to Tibet. Milarepa was his disciple.
