Hemmerle | An Impressive Pair of White Gold and Diamond Earclips

Featuring old European-cut diamonds, stated to weigh 9.98 and 9.77 carats set in brushed white gold bezels, signed Hemmerle, with maker's mark. With signed pouch.

Founded in 1893, Hemmerle is a fourth-generation family-run jeweler known for its one-of-a-kind creations characterized by innovative material combinations and a dedication to craftsmanship and quality. Each jewel is layered with cultural references and may be considered an original work of art. Today, Christian Hemmerle leads the company alongside his wife Yasmin and parents Stefan and Sylveli.

Hemmerle’s current design philosophy was sparked in the 1990s by a client who ‘detested flashy gems’ and wore early 19th century Berlin iron jewelry. Stefan Hemmerle decided to set a diamond in a ring of iron for her. The combination of a ‘common’ metal with a precious stone was unfamiliar, yet the iron band enhanced the diamond's beauty and spearheaded a new direction for Hemmerle. The pair of old European-cut diamonds set in heavy white gold mountings offered here as lot 91 epitomize Hemmerle’s fondness for marrying the past with the present, while the bracelet and pair of earclips set with brown diamonds (lots 92 and 93) showcase Hemmerle’s preference for earth tones.
