In 2016, one immediately sees the pronounced presence of Pinot Noir on the bouquet - very 'Burgundian' and very much the nature of the year. Then the roses develop. One even feels some tannin, matched by minerality, flirty sweetness and saltiness. This is a DPR for meals - it could take cold game in its stride. This was oenologist Vincent Chaperon's first vintage at DP. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
