The year of the new winery here, with more precision in working the vineyard parcels. 90% Tempranillo, 10% Merlot. This was an easy vintage, much acclaimed from the start. In 2018, a great Tempranillo, scented/smoky, bilberries nose that comes out to greet you. On the palate, a beautiful, silky texture, with glorious ripe fruit. This is a big wine, but the freshness covers the alcohol. Luscious and opulent, with a lift at the end. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
