8vo (156 x 92 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: a-z8 A-B8 C4: 204 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title- page and final verso, faded early marginalia. (Washed, very light soiling, blank marginal repair to a4 and C4, two torn blank corners.)

 

binding: Eighteenth-century polished tan calf (163 x 102 mm), covers ruled in gilt, flat spine with five false bands, compartments gilt tooled with a shield surmounted by helmet, arms, caduceus, and olive branches, gilt tendril roll on turn- ins, green marbled endpapers, gilt edges, green silk bookmark. (Lightly rubbed and scuffed, small surface loss to lower cover, hinges a bit weak.)
