8vo (147 x 94 mm). Italic and roman type, 36 lines plus headline. collation: A8 B-Z8 Aa-Zz8 Aaa-Eee8 Fff-Hhh8 Iii4: 436 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page, woodcut coin illustration. (Scattered foxing and dampstaining, one or two paper flaws.)

 

binding: Nineteenth-century Italian mottled sheep (154 x 103 mm), spine with semi-raised bands in four compartments, gilt-lettered label to second, others with gilt rules and floral device, edges speckled red and brown, marbled endpapers. (Some worming and wear.)
