This great looking Carrera 'Dato 45' chronograph has a silvered dial with matching subsidiary dial. The 'S' in the model reference refers to the color of the dial. It was one of the very first wristwatch chronographs to feature a rotating date disc. The watch is known as 'Dato 45' due to the date at 9 o’clock.
Sotheby's is honored to offer the collection of a former race car driver (in total 28 watches) with proceeds benefiting an initiative to support children of refugees in Germany.
