On the figure depicted in this photograph, David Benjamin Sherry has explained: “I built a five foot tall sculpture that I’d half dreamed about toward the end of a relationship. The photograph is a coming back to myself, and a greeting of the ever present self love monster within. I feel freer at this time than ever before, although exposed and disgusted at the thought of losing myself.”
