This is an exceptionally rare Saul Bass poster. It was designed and printed for Saul Bass's own personal use, and not for sale or cinema use. It is thought that only fifty were printed by Art Krebs Studio, Los Angeles, which was just around the corner from Bass's design studio.  Bass gave a number of these posters to friends and colleagues, and also used them to enter graphic design competitions.

This British film was directed by Mark Robson and is based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Stanley Wolpert. The cast includes Horst Buchholz, José Ferrer and Valerie Gearon. The story follows a fictionalised Nathuram Godse (Horst Buchholz), the Hindu militant activist who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.
