Mr. Sohal met Alan Parker at the BFI, London at a retrospective of his films. As a child Mr. Sohal loved this film, and would sing the song Fame - Remember my Name, I'm gonna live forever, I'm gonna learn how to fly (HIGH) !

It is rare for anyone to have an original poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs, and video/DVD sleeves.

This film was directed by Alan Parker, with music by Michael Gore. The cast includes Eddie Barth, Irene Cara, and Lee Curreri. The film tells the story of a group of students from New York's High School of Performing Arts, as they navigate their way through their auditions to their senior year, and all that happens in-between. At the Oscars Gore won Best Original Score, and with Dean Pitchford (who wrote the lyrics for Fame), they won Best Original Song.
