The Royal Oak Offshore has taken many forms since it’s introduction, but the present example is one of the most attractive. Produced in 1998 to celebrate the ‘98 Winter Olympics in Japan, these Offshore models features the Manual winding Caliber 2127 which houses a triple calendar date function utilizing a pointer hand for the date. The dial layout is very classical, featuring the the brands signature 'Petite Tapisserie' – but done in a striking and elegant ‘Yves Klein’ blue color. As tribute to those ’98 games, the watch was produced in a strictly limited run of just 98 pieces with this example being number 77. These seldom available pieces were produced in a a 37mm case making it as comfortable to wear as it is beautiful to look at. A welcome addition to any collection of fine timepieces.
