Description

of pierced, flared, basketweave-moulded form, the dark blue-ground lower part gilt with trelliswork enclosing flowerheads between laurel borders, each with a fitted contemporary painted pinewood baize-lined drum-shaped case with brass handle and fittings, printed interlaced LL mark enclosing fleur-de-lys above Sevres and date number 21 or 22, gilder's marks 'MC 20 juillet 21' and 'MC, 12.fevrir', probably for Pierre-Louis Micaud, the first inscribed '12 M.21', the second '21 Oct.21' in green, both incised 'BJ', one incised '6ZS', both with applied paper label printed with crowned initials F.M., numbered 466 and 464 in black ink script
